1. Overview

JeetoBharat collects only the data necessary to operate the Service — AI-powered UPSC Mains answer evaluation and curated current affairs. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights over your data.

2. Data we collect

Account information

Your display name, email address, profile photo, and phone number, obtained when you sign in or verify your device. This is used to identify your account and prevent abuse of the free tier.

Answer submissions

The text of every answer you submit for evaluation is transmitted to a third-party AI model API for processing. We store the submitted text and the resulting evaluation in your account history so you can review past feedback.

Credit and transaction data

Your credit balance and a history of credit transactions (purchases, evaluations, bonuses, refunds). Payment processing is handled by a third-party provider; we do not store card numbers or bank details.

Usage data

Basic app interaction data (screens visited, features used) collected via Firebase Analytics. This data is aggregated and used to improve the product.

3. How AI processes your data

  • When you submit an answer, that text is sent over an encrypted connection to an AI model API (currently Google Gemini / Google Cloud AI) solely to generate your evaluation feedback.
  • Your submitted answers are not used to train any AI model without your explicit consent.
  • Current affairs articles are generated or summarised by an AI model using public news sources. AI-generated summaries are not fact-checked by a human editor before publication.
  • AI evaluation results are stored in your account and visible only to you. They are not shared with other users, UPSC, or any educational institution.

4. Third-party services

We rely on the following third parties to operate the Service:

  • Google Firebase — authentication (including SMS OTP), database (Firestore), and cloud functions. Governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Google Cloud AI / Gemini API — AI model used for answer evaluation and current affairs curation. Your submitted answer text is processed by this service.
  • Payment processor — for credit purchases. We do not store raw payment details.

Each third party operates under its own privacy policy and data processing terms. We choose providers that offer standard data processing agreements and do not sell user data.

5. How we use your data

  • Authenticate you and maintain your account.
  • Deliver AI-generated evaluation feedback on your submitted answers.
  • Track and display your credit balance and history.
  • Provide access to the current affairs feed based on your subscription status.
  • Send transactional notifications (evaluation complete, low credits). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
  • Improve the product based on aggregated, anonymised usage.

6. Data retention

Your account data, answer submissions, and evaluations are retained for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you (your account information, evaluation history, and transaction records are visible in the app).
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
  • Withdraw consent for any optional data processing, where applicable.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

8. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Firestore security rules restrict access to your data to your account only. We apply Firebase authentication best practices and do not store passwords in plain text. No system is perfectly secure; use a strong, unique password for your account.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us for immediate deletion.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be notified via in-app notice at least 7 days before they take effect. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
