Delhi Police Establishes Special Task Force to Combat Examination Fraud

In a significant move to uphold the sanctity of national-level recruitment and entrance examinations, the Delhi Police has constituted a specialized Special Task Force (STF). This unit is specifically mandated to investigate cases of paper leaks and organized examination fraud involving major bodies such as the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), and the National Testing Agency (NTA). The formation of this STF comes in the wake of the implementation of stringent new anti-cheating laws, which provide a robust legal framework to prosecute those involved in compromising the integrity of public examinations. The primary objective of this initiative is to centralize the investigative process. Previously, examination fraud cases were often handled by local police stations, leading to fragmented investigations and inconsistent application of legal provisions.
