HAL Expands Global Aerospace Footprint at Farnborough Airshow 2026

At the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has taken significant strides to integrate India deeper into the global aerospace supply chain. By engaging in high-level dialogues with industry giants such as GE Aerospace and Honeywell, HAL is focusing on technology transfer, co-development, and the expansion of indigenous manufacturing capabilities. These discussions are pivotal to India’s 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative, aiming to transition from a mere buyer of defence equipment to a global hub for aerospace manufacturing. The collaboration with global majors is designed to address critical gaps in the domestic supply chain, particularly in engine technology and avionics. By leveraging the expertise of established international players, HAL seeks to enhance the production efficiency of indigenous platforms like the Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) and the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA). Furthermore, these partnerships facilitate the integration of Indian MSMEs into the global aerospace value chain, fostering a robust ecosystem of ancillary industries.
