Strategic Push for Deep-Tech: Andhra Pradesh to Establish India’s First Quantum and AI University

In a significant move to position India as a global leader in emerging technologies, the Andhra Pradesh government has received the green light to establish the nation’s first dedicated university for Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence in Amaravati. This initiative, supported by funding from the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), represents a strategic pivot toward building a robust domestic ecosystem for deep-tech innovation. The university is designed to serve as a multidisciplinary hub, focusing on high-end research, skill development, and the indigenization of critical technologies.
