The recent meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit, marks a significant milestone in the evolving India-UAE bilateral relationship. This engagement underscores the transition of the partnership from a traditional buyer-seller dynamic to a robust, investment-led strategic alliance. Central to this deepening cooperation is the substantial $11.5 billion investment by the UAE in an integrated aluminium project in Odisha.
